What is Wooden Feedstocks?

Woody feedstocks are an alternate energy source which is hitting the agricultural community around the world. As an alternate source of fuel, these biological alternatives are competing with energy giants like oil, coal, and natural gas.

These large processing plants are on a course to compete with all major energy suppliers into the future. The offer an environmentally safe alternative to waste management and energy supply. Biomass, or woody feedstocks, are outpacing traditional energy sources like hydropower as domestic fuel options in the United States.

Renewable Feedstocks

Large process facilities are realizing the uses of renewable and natural fuel. These large facilities renew everything from mildew to dead trees. Basically, when you look at it, woody feedstocks are giant compost processors that reuse old waste from the environment.

This is not to demean the process by any means. It is certainly a valuable and economically sound process. When you take a look at what a lot of other energy processing plants are doing to the environment, the feedstocks are definitely a better option.

I can never tell you how happy I was as a gardener to discover compost. Measuring pH levels and nutrients are not that difficult but for some of us, compost is a lost simpler. When I realized that, by renewing older material I was getting a better fertilizer for my plants, I was really happy.
The idea of renewing old and natural products appears to be a biological solution that will be safe for all.

This is what woody feedstocks are doing for the industrial community. For those of us that are going green, woody biomass is a great solution that is safe for our environment. It appears to be spreading around the country as more people are learning about the process. They are learning a lot more every day about biomass products.

National State Forestry statistics show a broad range of products that are produced by trees. Process plants are producing everything from quality sawdust to premium wood chips. All products are naturals and safe for the environment.

Wooden Feedstocks and the environment

Everyone knows the value of high quality wood products. Woody feedstocks are making use of more tree and woodland products. Other products produced by woody feedstocks are pellets and horse and poultry bedding. Mulch, livestock bedding, and small dimension lumber are also being produced from woodland sources. These are just some of the uses of products produced by woodland materials and waste.

You can’t go wrong renewing old or waste material. As some of these wood source materials are removed from the tree, they are categorized into residue groups according to usage. Primary wood residue is classified into three main categories – Bark (Mulch), coarse (chips), and fines (shavings-sawdust). These woods products are used to produce other products such as pellets, and horse and chicken bedding.

Sawmills and their products are contributing significantly to states budget and production outputs. These woody feedstocks products are broadly categorized into coarse, fines, and barks. By using natural materials for manufacturing and production, these feedstocks are offering a competitive alternative that is safe for the environment.
